    Braintree Bowmen 2012 Indoor Classifications have been published covering the period July 2011 to June 2012.

  • Hannah Gets Her Trophy (At Last!)

    Hannah Smith was presented with her trophy today for winning the Juniors' Gulliver Competition during our recent indoor season.

  • Trevor Sets a Record!

    It had to happen eventually - the record for Gents Imperial Recurve was set on Sunday 13th May by Trevor Harvey who shot a 257 on a New Warwick (2 dozen at 100 yards and 2 dozen at 80 yards).

    With temperatures below the normal for May eight of Braintree Bowmen's made the trip to Colchester Rugby Club for CADAC Bill Tucker Memorial Shoot.

    Over the weekend of 28th and 29th April, West Essex Bowmen played host at Belhus Woods Country Park, Aveley, to their annual Double FITA 70m, on both days in aid of the Essex Air Ambulance.

    With the weather behaving itself, we launched our first National Day to encourage all members expericenced and novices to complete a GNAS Round.

    In freezing and windy conditions, some of Braintree's finest descended onto Raydon Hall Archery Club, near Ipswich for their annual Nationals Soup Shoot.

Welcome to the Braintree Bowmen.

Our archery club has been in existence for nearly 60 years in and around Braintree, Essex.

We shoot every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday during the summer and Thursday and Sunday during the winter months. The club is open to everyone over the age of eight and we pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and support for all levels of archer from beginners to the experienced.
